Warren Scherer’s work utilizes the imagery, skepticism, and often iconoclasm of basic scientific research to examine human nature, society, and the hypocrisy of many established mores and beliefs.

Although he has no formal art training, Warren Scherer has been painting for over 30 years. He received a BS, biochemistry, 1985, as well as an MD and PhD in physiology, 1992, from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. This scientific background forms the basis and theme for most of his work. He is originally from Buffalo, NY and has lived in Florida for 11 years where he works as an ophthalmologist and medical researcher.
